Nonprofit Awareness Day (June 10)
Nonprofit Awareness Day is the official statewide holiday celebrating the vital role of nonprofits in Massachusetts. It's an opportunity for Operation PEACE - Boston to spread the word about the impact we have on the Fenway and greater Boston community–social, economic, or otherwise–every day of the year. Join us and hundreds of participating nonprofits in the statewide celebration by sharing the success stories of Operation PEACE through your social media channels all day on June 10th.
Summer Grand opening! A second Op PEACE - Boston location!
Yes - it is happening! We will be opening another Resident Learning Center (just like our Peterborough location) at Wingate's Dorchester Noral Housing (339 Talbot Avenue, Dorchester). We are very excited about this expansion. The programs offered will include After School, Summer Academy, Computer Learning, and more. 30th Annual National Night Out BBQ (August 6)
On Tuesday, August 6th, from 4:30 - 7:30pm, join us as the Fenway joins forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 30th annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event. Over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world will participate. This event is designed to (1) heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts; (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and (4) send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
